About Us
Our Angus and Hereford cattle roam freely across lush, open rangelands, nourished by the purest natural spring water and Wyoming’s diverse grasses. Raised without hormones or antibiotics, our cattle graze on a variety of native range grasses from June through October, and spend winters on irrigated pastures rich with diverse, nutritious forages. This combination gives our beef its uniquely flavorful taste—an expression of the land it’s raised on. We believe that caring for the land is as important as caring for our cattle. By practicing low-stress handling, with only horses guiding the herd, we ensure that our animals remain calm and well-adjusted, resulting in tender, flavorful beef. Our approach to grazing not only optimizes nutrition but also minimizes conflict with local wildlife, promoting harmony on the range. From our pastures to your plate, Ishawooa Mesa Ranch delivers beef you can trust, rooted in responsible stewardship and the timeless traditions of the West. Laying hens, heritage-breed pigs, and sheep also graze our pastures where their manure is used as a natural fertilizer. Supplemental grain is organic and grown by farmers in neighboring Montana.
